I held the first print copy of ‘Home’ today

Today I had the first printed copy of ‘Home’ in my hands. The printer had prepared three copies, sort of a final systems check. I didn’t know what to feel, so I sat down and thumbed through the pages.

It’s a beautiful hardcover book!

But after all the work I’ve put into it, all I could do was look for flaws. Fortunately, it looked great, and I didn’t see anything to be upset about. The cover design and colors are working well, and the photographs inside printed with accurate colors and lighting. The comics are solid with nicely contrasting blacks and whites – and I love the ones in color.

The eBook is done. The website is done.

Copies of the print edition will be sold at Monument Books here  in Cambodia for $16.50 (a good deal!), and I’ll publish the eBooks on Amazon and iBooks. That’s all easy. The next step is going to take work: getting people to notice.

For now, though, I need to think about anything else.
